one night i got a nightmare and i never woke up
i've had bad dreams before but that one won't stop
it faded out but never dissapeared
its shade's on every damn thing around me

it left a mark
an ugly mark on me
it laid its shadow
a shadow on my world

i'm looking through the blurry lense
i'm hearing through the concrete wall
it's all endless wandering in the fog

i want someone
to guide me out
into clarity

to remind me
what it's like being awake

i can't clean the ashes of nightmare from my eyes
It's seeking into what appears like real life
it's making everything so hollow and dull
what was thrilling before doesn't cut it anymore

it got me holding onto
what was left of my weakening mind
it got me wondering why i was still alive
the body heals itself
just a scar left to remind
but deep inside there's a cut that won't stop bleeding
